Character Replacement Settings

Use the settings below to control lower/upper case handling and special character replacement in URL content. Note that these rules aren't applied to pipeline aliases as well as IDs appended to product and content URLs.

Lower Case:Lower Case:

Enable this to convert any URL content to lower case.

White Space:

Define how white spaces in URL content are replaced.

Custom Replacements:Custom Replacements:

Enable this functionality to activate custom character replacement rules.

Set up rules how characters are replaced.

Character Replacement for 'pageURL':Character Replacement for 'pageURL':

Enable this to apply character replacement for URLs overridden with the 'pageURL' attribute.

Locale Mapping

Define if the locale should be contained in Storefront URLs. Define if the locale should be represented by the hostname, the first URL path element, or a URL parameter.

Define how the internal locale ID (e.g., 'default') will be represented in URLs (e.g., 'en'). For 'Hostname', specify mappings from one or multiple hostnames to the actual locale (e.g., site1.com,www.site.com,en.site.com -> en_US). For 'Path' and 'URL Parameter', optionally specify mappings between the locale name used in the URL and the actual locale (e.g., en -> default).

Search Refinement URL Settings

Use the settings below to control how search refinement values are added to the URL. These rules are applied to category and folder search refinement mappings.

Position (Before, After):

Define if refinements are included before or after the category/folder mapping.

Refinements Segment Delimiter:

Define how a refinement segment is separated from a category/folder segment.

Refinements Delimiter:

Define how multiple refinements are separated.

Refinements Value Delimiter:

Define how multiple refinement values are separated.

Conflicting Refinements Value Delimiter:

Define by which delimiter indices are separated from the value mapping for conflicting values.

Exclude Pipeline Alias:

Exclude the pipeline alias for catalog (Search-Show) or content (Search-ShowContent) search refinement URLs.

Product Refinement Name URL Parameter:

URL parameter for product search refinement name. The default is 'prefn'.

Product Refinement Value URL Parameter:

URL parameter for product search refinement value. The default is 'prefv'.

Content Refinement Name URL Parameter:

URL parameter for content search refinement name. The default is 'crefn'.

Content Refinement Value URL Parameter:

URL parameter for content search refinement value. The default is 'crefv'.

Enable the 'Custom Replacements' checkbox to unlock the 'Edit Rules' button, then click it to define character mappings.

Character Replacement Rules

This screen allows you to manage character substitutions for URLs (e.g., swapping spaces for hyphens). Review the layout and let me know how you want to proceed.
